Occupational Therapists (O.T.'s) are regulated health professionals who assist and enable well being through occupations. Occupations are activities of daily living that are meaningful to a person. Occupations involve self care, productivity and leisure activities. In this setting OT's are able to provide custom made orthotics, splinting, ergonomic assessments, treatment, and education, as well as functional assessments. By examining occupations and the environment, OT's are able to fit the task to the person to maximize function.Occupational Therapy is a University post graduate Masters level program. OT's must write a licensing exam and follow professional college guidelines to use and maintain the title of OT.
