What is Massage Therapy? 

Massage Therapy is the use of manual techniques that help to assist in the restoration of normal functioning of the body by improving circulation and flexibility while decreasing musculoskeletal tension and pain. They are experts in treating acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages by utilizing their advanced knowledge in swedish massage techniques, physiology and anatomy. Massage therapy is very beneficial for reducing stress-related conditions caused by fatigue and occupational stress. Massage aids in the healing process by promoting relaxation and an overall feeling of well-being. 

What are the educational requirements of a Massage Therapist? 

A Registered Massage Therapists can be recognized by the credential R.M.T.. They have successfully graduated from a government approved school of massage by the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario and fulfilled the requirement of a minimum of 2200 hours of training in the areas of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and remedial exercises related to treatment of medical treatments.
